Back in the early 70s, when I was just a teen, the blues hit me, and boy, did it stick. It was the tunes of Fleetwood Mac, Canned Heat, The Rolling Stones, Hot Tuna, and The Allman Brothers that got me hooked. These bands had something special – they carried the spirit of early blues legends like Robert Johnson, Blind Willie McTell, and Muddy Waters. That's where my deep dive into the blues began.
Over the years, my love for the blues turned into something more. I started jotting down stories, snapping photos, and sharing them in various Blues publications and websites. Then came the late 90s, a time of dial-up internet, and the birth of my own little corner on the web - an Internet Radio Station. It was a hub for blues enthusiasts where I chatted with both leading and rising blues artists for a good decade.
Now, I’m pouring all that love for the blues into this blog, blueschronicles.com. It’s my cozy online space to share the magic of the blues with you. Whether you're new to the genre or a seasoned blues lover, there's a story here for you.
